Hi, my name is Liam Greene and I am a senior at Cooper High School. I enjoy graphic design with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. I’m also interested in music production and I am excited for a great year as a NKY Makerspace Intern!
Hi! My name is Najmo Hussein. I go to Boone County High School where I am a senior. I am interning at NKY Makerspace and am very excited to be in this position! I have always been interested in engineering and believe this internship will help me to to achieve my goal of becoming an intern. I am excited to be part of this team for the 2019-2020!
Hi, my name is Destiny Landers. My high school is Simon Kenton, and I take classes through the Ignite Fellowship. I am very excited about my internship here at NKY MakerSpace! I am also interested in computers and the media field. I enjoy coding websites and working with camera equipment and editing software, and I am excited to learn new things in my time here. When I'm not in school, I like to paint, make videos, and spend time with my cat and my friends.
Hello, my name is Joshua Dyko and my goal is to be a future engineer. I go to Scott High School in Taylor Mill, Kentucky, while also attending the new Ignite Institute at Roebling Center. I really enjoy designing any idea that I think about, and I hope to be an architect.
Hi, my name is Elizabeth Fulmer! I am a senior at Simon Kenton High School, but I am attending the Ignite Institute the whole day. In my future, I want to become a chemical engineer and I am continuing to pursue anything related to STEM activities. I am on Simon Kenton’s archery team and I enjoy learning new skills. Over the summer, I was employed in a five-week internship with Toyota, working in the manufacturing plant, TMMK, and the North American Production Engineering and Manufacturing Centre, or PEMC. I’m extremely excited to be an intern with NKY MakerSpace and grow as a student and an engineer!
Hello everyone, I'm Ashton DeMoss. I am currently a senior at Dixie Heights High School. I also participate in the Senior fellowship, I was a part of the Women's Engineering Academy. In my free time I play outside back for Dixie Soccer. When I'm not on the field, I can be found at Silverlake working in the cafe. Over the summer, I spent five weeks at Bellarmine University for the Governor's Scholars Program studying engineering. This experience opened my eyes to all the possibilities of the engineering world. In the future, I plan to further my engineering education in college and pursue a career in biomedical engineering. I cannot wait to continue developing my problem solving skills with NKY MakerSpace!
My name is McKenna Hoh and I am a senior at Ryle High school. I am excited to be an intern at NKY MakerSpace! I am a part of the American Sign Language (ASL) club! Since 7th grade, I have wanted to become a Biomedical Engineer and I hope that NKY MakerSpace can help me learn the skills I need to pursue this job!
Hi, my name is Riley Keene! I'm a senior at Dixie Heights High School but I participate in the full day Senior Fellowship program at the Ignite Institute! I am extremely excited to be a part of the 2019-2020 NKY MakerSpace internship program. In my free time chances are you can find me at my dance studio (EDT) or hanging out with my dachshund, Connan. I didn't really know what engineering was until 9th grade, but once I started my Women in Engineering program, I fell in love! After high school, I'm looking to combine my love of working with kids and engineering in the world of Biomedical Engineering. I can't wait to implement all of the tools I learn into real-world experiences!
My name is Ethan Loftin. I am a senior at Conner High School. I am thrilled to be an intern at the MakerSpace program. I have always been interested in design. I love doing projects involved with Adobe Illustrator. It would be a great experience for me to learn new skills such as photo editing, 3D design and printing, and video editing. I am eager to incorporate my creativity into the projects we complete.
My name is KB. I'm a senior at Conner High School. I would love to have more experience in Photoshop, Illustrator, photography, and video editing. Me being an intern would really help me with these instruments. I'm excited to show as much of my creativity as I can this year.

Hi I’m Ethan Huffman, and I am extremely excited to be an intern at the NKY Makerspace. I am on the Football and Wrestling team at Boone County High school. I’m currently trying to pursue a career in graphic design. I am hoping to use my time here at the Maker Space to learn new things and expand my skills with graphic and 3D design.
Update: May 20, 2019: Ethan is graduating from Boone County High School and will be attending Mt. St. Joseph University in the fall, where he will major in Graphic Design and be a part of the wrestling team!
Hi, my name is Kathryn Jordan! I’m a senior at Cooper High School. I’m excited to be an intern at the Makerspace and am thankful for this opportunity. I’m on the cheerleading team at Cooper. I’m interested in a STEM-related career,specifically engineering, so I believe the Makerspace will help me to decide what I’d like to do. I hope to learn new skills while I’m here and take advantage of the resources I’m provided with.
Update: May 20, 2019: Kathryn is graduating from Cooper High School with multiple years of college credits already completed! She will be attending the University of Cincinnati in the fall to major in Environmental Engineering, and is part of UC's cheerleading squad!

Hey everyone, my name is Carlos Garcia. I am currently a senior at Boone County High School and I am very pleased and excited to be a part of the team here at Makerspace. I play soccer at Boone and I am very involved in the STLP program. As a kid I’ve always been fascinated with technology and the way it works and I always knew that's what I wanted to get into so Makerspace is definitely the right place for me. I am very grateful to have this opportunity because it will help me expand my field of knowledge in something I am very passionate about.
Update: May 20, 2019: Carlos is a full-time student at Northern Kentucky University, where he is completing his freshman year and majoring in Engineering! He is involved with fraternity activities.
Hello, my name is Mark Mohammed and I go to Boone County High School. I am very fortunate to be able to partake in the NKY Makerspace program. Ever since I was young I have had this fascination (almost an obsession) with planes and how they work, which made me want to become an engineer. I love having hands on work and seeing my creations work. Begin able to work with some of the technology now that I would later have to use in my career is a big step for me and my future.

My name is Brittany and I am in 12th grade at Ryle High School. I have three cats (Smokey, Alice, and Matilda), but I really like dogs way better. I like to draw my favorite cat Matilda because she is always doing funny poses. I also like to draw people and realistic animals. I’ve always loved to draw and design and I keep telling people I’m going be the bigger, better Dreamworks. What I really like to do is graphic design, including making movies and designing things for companies. I started to learn about it in 11th grade, and just fell in love with it. I have been offered an internship at Mubea, where I will be trained and then able to design things for them! The internships at Mubea and NKY Makerspace will help me to jump into my career of graphic design!
Update: May 20, 2019: Brittany is finishing her freshman year at Northern Kentucky University and is continuing to volunteer at NKY Makerspace! She is also working part-time, in addition to her full-time student status!
My name is Brooke Wilson. I’m a senior at Ryle High school and I enrolled into the NKY Makerspace internship to try to improve my skills in design. I am absolutely in love with design. I enjoy coming up with different ideas, art, and stories and am fascinated with the manipulation of programs used to make concepts into reality. I’m hoping to one day be involved in a career pertaining to game development. I’m already certified in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. I have some experience with 3DS Max. While I’m interning here I aspire to learn new skills and better my current ones.
Tim is a senior at Boone County High School, where he is enrolled in the Engineering pathway and plays soccer. Tim is interested in mechanical engineering, and joined the NKY Makerspace team during the 2nd semester! Tim's interests include music, building, and 3D printing. Tim plans to attend Northern Kentucky University next year, where he will pursue an engineering degree!
Update: May 20, 2019: Tim is a full-time student at Northern Kentucky University, where he is completing his freshman year! He is involved with fraternity activities.

Hi everyone, I'm Gabe Hill! I'm considered a 3D printing expert after learning at the Makerspace during my first year as an intern. I also work with Gorilla Maker 3D Printers now! I am also interested in audio and video production, as well as robotics. The NKY Makerspace gives me the opportunity to work with technology I would not have access to otherwise. I hope to be able to use the technology available here to help members of my community.
Update: May 20, 2019: Gabe is a full-time employee with Gorilla Maker 3D printers! He is still working with NKY Makerspace in a professional capacity!
Hello, my name is Brandon and I’m ecstatic to be an intern at Makerspace. Throughout my life I have always had an interest in computer science and various other fields that fall under that category. I believe that Makerspace is a great opportunity for me to grow an interest in various fields and develop that interest and expertise. I look forward to share my experience with other people in a hope to spark a similar light in others as I believe that the work force is changing to be more STEM-related.
I am excited to be an intern at NKY MakerSpace because I believe engineering holds the key to our future. When I was younger I lived in Massachusetts and throughout my middle school career I was constantly fascinated by my engineering class. I am excited for this internship because I would love to take advantage of such an opportunity that would further my endeavors in engineering, and would help teach me more about my chosen career which would allow me to give back to my community.
Update: May 20, 2019: Amanda is now a full-time student at the University of Kentucky, where she received scholarship to attend the College of Engineering! She is also an ambassador for the UK Engineering program, and a Teaching Assistant in the Engineering Department, and interns in the UK Makerspace & at Carat in Lexington.
My name is Emma, and I am passionate about all kinds of art, ideas, and just plain creativity! Art is my life and what I want to do, and the Makerspace will allow me to explore all the possibilities that are at my fingertips. I am also interested in learning about programming and being able to inspire people in the community through the things that I learn and create at NKY Makerspace.
Update: Aug 22, 2017: Emma is now a full-time student at the Columbus School of Art & Design in Columbus, Ohio! She received scholarship to attend this school!
Throughout my life I have always been helping my parents modify and work on the house and our cars. I am excited for my internship at the NKY Makerspace because I believe I can make a difference and build something that is useful and can help out everyone in everyday situations. This would a great start for myself because I could apply the knowledge I have gained from the Boone County High School Robotics Team and The Boone County District Robotics Team.
Update: May 20, 2019: Brian is completing his second year as a full-time student at Northern Kentucky University, where he received scholarships and his major is Technological Engineering.

I love making videos that people will enjoy, and want to watch over and over again. Being able to bring your thoughts to life is one of the coolest things ever. I know I can create some really cool things once I put my mind to it.
Whats up NKY?! My name is Madison Hollis and I am a senior at Cooper High School. I have always had an interest in the technological side of art which includes photography and graphic design. MakerSpace is a great opportunity for me to explore different areas of design, learn more about technology, and hopefully I could run a workshop to teach community members the basics of a digital camera.
Hi, I'm Andrew French and I'm a senior at Conner High school. Technology has always been a big interest of mine and I enjoy learning and interacting with it. Being part of MakerSpace is giving me opportunities to use equipment that otherwise I would not be able to interact with such as 3D printers and Arduino.
Hello, my name is Kian Quinn and I go to Cooper High School. I've always been interested in computers and my main focus in high school has been to learn anything and everything I can about computers. I cannot wait to see what 3D printers can accomplish in the future. During my time at MakerSpace I will be able to learn about technology that I otherwise would not have been able to. I can't wait to be here for my senior year!
Hey, my name is Austin Bragg and I attend Ryle High School. Computers, and anything technical, were always intriguing to me. I'm super excited to further my knowledge on 3D printers and robotics. I've always loved learning about them and NKY MakerSpace has given me that chance with a hands on experience.
My name is Braden Siebert, I'm a senior at Conner and I enjoy cinematography. Bringing my thoughts to a lens for people to see intrigues me. I've always noticed my passion for film ever since I was young. I am now having the chance to forever improve my capabilities and get more connected with my passion.
My name is Hunter Clem and I'm a Senior at Conner. Everyone has or needs an escape from reality, a passion if you will. Media happens to be my go-to and it can make me the happiest and feel the most accomplished. When I create something I know what I want and love how I can figure out how to execute it. I also know how I want the person to feel when they experience watching it. I plan on taking every element I indulge in at MakerSpace and applying to what I know best and ultimately taking those aspects to enhance my creative process. I am really excited to have an an opportunity to have an outlet to let my mind run loose with ideas.
Hello, I'm Jake Edwards, a senior from Conner High School! I wondered into the vast realm of media as a child and never lost the spark that started it all. I commit the majority of my time to video and audio production, while still stepping foot into the other subjects. MakerSpace has provided me with the technology needed to achieve my lifelong goal.
Hello everyone, nice to meet you! I'm Madison Rechtin. I'm currently a senior at Conner High School and in the fall I plan to attend Morehead State University where I'll be studying Convergent Media. I've always loved being in front of and behind the camera and producing my own videos. I found my passion for media when I was a sophomore in an Introduction to Media class. Being an intern at Makerspace is such a great opportunity to learn things I didn't even know I could do.
Hey, I'm Mitchell and I'm a senior at Conner High School. I'm interested in video editing and audio production. The NKY Makerspace gives me an opportunity to work with video, audio, and several other areas that I'd never previously considered. My personal goals are to either develop a few different complete sound tracks or maybe to even record some ASMR videos.
