Hello, my name is Brandon and I’m ecstatic to be an intern at Makerspace. Throughout my life I have always had an interest in computer science and various other fields that fall under that category. I believe that Makerspace is a great opportunity for me to grow an interest in various fields and develop that interest and expertise. I look forward to share my experience with other people in a hope to spark a similar light in others as I believe that the work force is changing to be more STEM-related.
Hi everyone, I'm Gabe Hill! I'm considered a 3D printing expert after learning at the Makerspace during my first year as an intern. I also work with Gorilla Maker 3D Printers now! I am also interested in audio and video production, as well as robotics. The NKY Makerspace gives me the opportunity to work with technology I would not have access to otherwise. I hope to be able to use the technology available here to help members of my community.
I am excited to be an intern at NKY MakerSpace because I believe engineering holds the key to our future. When I was younger I lived in Massachusetts and throughout my middle school career I was constantly fascinated by my engineering class. I am excited for this internship because I would love to take advantage of such an opportunity that would further my endeavors in engineering, and would help teach me more about my chosen career which would allow me to give back to my community
My name is Emma, and I am passionate about all kinds of art, ideas, and just plain creativity! Art is my life and what I want to do, and the Makerspace will allow me to explore all the possibilities that are at my fingertips. I am also interested in learning about programming and being able to inspire people in the community through the things that I learn and create at NKY Makerspace.
Throughout my life I have always been helping my parents modify and work on the house and our cars. I am excited for my internship at the NKY Makerspace because I believe I can make a difference and build something that is useful and can help out everyone in everyday situations. This would a great start for myself because I could apply the knowledge I have gained from the Boone County High School Robotics Team and The Boone County District Robotics Team.
Meet our 2015/2016 Interns!
I love making videos that people will enjoy, and want to watch over and over again. Being able to bring your thoughts to life is one of the coolest things ever. I know I can create some really cool things once I put my mind to it.
Whats up NKY?! My name is Madison Hollis and I am a senior at Cooper High School. I have always had an interest in the technological side of art which includes photography and graphic design. MakerSpace is a great opportunity for me to explore different areas of design, learn more about technology, and hopefully I could run a workshop to teach community members the basics of a digital camera.
Hi, I'm Andrew French and I'm a senior at Conner High school. Technology has always been a big interest of mine and I enjoy learning and interacting with it. Being part of MakerSpace is giving me opportunities to use equipment that otherwise I would not be able to interact with such as 3D printers and Arduino.
Hello, my name is Kian Quinn and I go to Cooper High School. I've always been interested in computers and my main focus in high school has been to learn anything and everything I can about computers. I cannot wait to see what 3D printers can accomplish in the future. During my time at MakerSpace I will be able to learn about technology that I otherwise would not have been able to. I can't wait to be here for my senior year!
Hey, my name is Austin Bragg and I attend Ryle High School. Computers, and anything technical, were always intriguing to me. I'm super excited to further my knowledge on 3D printers and robotics. My name is Hunter Clem and I'm a Senior at Conner. Everyone has or needs an escape from reality, a passion if you will. Media happens to be my go-to and it can make me the happiest and feel the most accomplished. When I create something I know what I want and love how I can figure out how to execute it. I also know how I want the person to feel when they experience watching it. I plan on taking every element I indulge in at MakerSpace and applying to what I know best and ultimately taking those aspects to enhance my creative process. I am really excited to have an an opportunity to have an outlet to let my mind run loose with ideas.
Hello, I'm Jake Edwards, a senior from Conner High School! I wondered into the vast realm of media as a child and never lost the spark that started it all. I commit the majority of my time to video and audio production, while still stepping foot into the other subjects. MakerSpace has provided me with the technology needed to achieve my lifelong goal.
Hello everyone, nice to meet you! I'm Madison Rechtin. I'm currently a senior at Conner High School and in the fall I plan to attend Morehead State University where I'll be studying Convergent Media. I've always loved being in front of and behind the camera and producing my own videos. I found my passion for media when I was a sophomore in an Introduction to Media class. Being an intern at Makerspace is such a great opportunity to learn things I didn't even know I could do.
